Important: UlCure is NOT medical advice
UlCure is a health education platform. It does not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medication, or replace consultation with a qualified medical professional. By using UlCure you acknowledge and accept this.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the UlCure platform (“the Service”) operated by Sirience LTD, a company registered in Kenya, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sirience LTD under the laws of Kenya.
2. Description of the Service
UlCure is a health education platform that:
- Generates personalised health guidance based on your symptom questionnaire responses
- Provides evidence-based information about peptic ulcer disease and H. pylori infection
- Offers medication adherence tracking tools for subscribers
UlCure is explicitly NOT:
- A telemedicine platform or online medical consultation service
- A pharmacy or medication dispensing service
- A diagnostic tool or substitute for clinical diagnosis
- A treatment prescriber — we do not issue prescriptions
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using UlCure you represent that you are 18 years or older. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the consent of a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
4. Health Disclaimer and Medical Advice
The information provided by UlCure is for educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on UlCure.
If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or emergency services immediately.
For a full standalone disclaimer see our Health Disclaimer page.
5. Payments and Refunds
5.1 One-Time Plan Purchase
The treatment plan is available for a one-time payment of KES 50 via M-Pesa. Payment is processed by Safaricom Daraja API. Upon successful payment your personalised plan is immediately unlocked and accessible.
5.2 Subscription
The optional monthly subscription is KES 149 per month, billed via M-Pesa. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused subscription time.
5.3 Refund Policy
Due to the digital nature of the content, plan purchases are generally non-refundable once the plan has been accessed. If your payment was processed but you did not receive your plan (a technical error), contact us at contact@ulcure.clinic within 48 hours and we will investigate and issue a refund if appropriate.
6. User Obligations
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable Kenyan laws or regulations
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the treatment plan content
- Use the Service to make clinical diagnoses or prescriptions
- Provide false information in the symptom questionnaire with intent to mislead
- Attempt to circumvent payment by exploiting technical vulnerabilities
- Share your account credentials or plans with others for commercial gain
7. Intellectual Property
All content on UlCure — including treatment plan text, algorithms, educational content, and software — is owned by Sirience LTD and protected by applicable Kenyan and international intellectual property laws. Your purchased plan is licensed for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the content without prior written consent.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable Kenyan law, Sirience LTD, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
- Health outcomes resulting from following or not following the treatment guidance provided
- Interruptions or errors in the Service
- Loss of data or unauthorised access to your data despite our security measures
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 3 months preceding the claim.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the health information provided for any specific individual's medical condition.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya. Any dispute shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. Failing that, disputes may be referred to the Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration (NCIA) in accordance with its arbitration rules.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
